A note from Jenny...

Do you have a personal cheerleader? I think everyone should have one--someone who gives you that little push to get you going and then encourages you all the way to the finish line. Did you realize this CD IS your own personal cheerleader? Ok, no, this CD won't "cheer you on" to do that mountain of laundry, or wash your car, or clean out the pantry, but it will encourage and help you create one-of-a-kind priceless books with a consistent theme. (And that's much more fun than those other jobs, anyway!)

ABC's and 123's is the first CD in a new line from Heirloom Scrapbooks called Solid Foundations. Whether you're a seasoned scrapbooker or not, this CD is loaded with page backgrounds and elements for a solid foundation to get you going, and helpful ideas and instructions to encourage you to the finish line. So, let's roll up our sleeves together and get started!

1. CD Organization

In addition to this START document, you should have seen three other folders when you first opened this CD:
123 Book, ABC Book, and im.
  • 123 Book
Inside the 123 Book Folder are three more folders: 11x8 Pages (containing pages 11.33 inches long and 8.5 inches tall plus one "guide" file and a layout contact sheet), 12x12 Pages (containing 12 inch square pages, one "guide" file and layout contact sheet), and Elements (containing lots of additional items that coordinate with the 123 Book pages).
  • ABC Book
The ABC Book Folder also contains three folders: 11x8 Pages, 12x12 Pages, and Elements, which all contain the same type of documents as the 123 Book, just with an ABC Book Theme.
  • im
The im folder you can ignore--it just contains images you see in this START document and pages that are linked to it.

FILE NAMES
Each file, whether it is a "Page" or an "Element" has a unique name that identifies several things. For instance, a file with the name "SFABC J Long" would tell you this is the "J" page, Long in size (11.33x8.5"), for the ABC book. SF stands for Solid Foundations and will help you identify (and keep together) all of the files from this CD and the Solid Foundations line of products, especially if you copy these files onto your computer. Another example..."SF123 12 Square" is page 12, square size (12x12"), for the 123 book. Simple, right?

2. Your Printing Options

Are you saying, "Printing? What are you talking about printing for? I haven't even started!" Actually, the way you intend to print your pages will effect how you create your pages, so let's look at your options...
